So I was re-reading through my dental school application essay just for fun. I submitted it about a month ago and its now at all the dental schools I applied to. To my suprise I found an extra "s" at the end of the word "four" that was not supposed to be there(a mistake that spellcheck will not find). Fortunately for me, it was only in the thesis sentence of the essay. That's a little sarcasm for you. But a for real fortunately, is that it was the only mistake in the essay, so I don't think it will keep me from getting into dental school. Nevertheless, I know that whenever I see typos I tend to take the writing a little less seriously. Let it be a lesson to everyone else that is about to submit an important work of writing. When you're about to submit your work, one more thorough read through is not going to hurt. Also, get as many people as you can to read through it. These are lessons that my parents and teachers have tried to teach me my entire life. Nothing teaches like experience I guess.
