i'm not a businessman, i'm a business, man.
I like to eat in the cougareat between the hours of 5:00 and 6:00 PM. it's a lot more calm than the hustle and bustle that is the early afternoon. the weird thing is you can hear the music playing so clearly. this early evening was no different. the first jam was journey. i liked it, but it kind of gave me a sticky-icky-icky feeling in my tummy. some credit for the -icky-icky can be given to the cheesy, rice and bean burrito i was munching on. n'sync - this i promise you was up next. it made me think about how much cooler JT is compared with the whole rest of the n'sync crew put together. after that, vanessa carlton - a thousand miles. i don't like this one, so i got out my ipod and started listening to some wu-tang. that's just how i roll. funny thing is one of my earphones doesn't work, so i was listening to wu-tang with backup piano and vocals from vanessa carlton. i don't believe in that. i gave up on the ipod. then Berlin - Take My Breath Away started to play. it's one of those songs that you feel when it starts playing. that "BOU, BOU, BOU, BOU, BOU" starts playing at the intro and you know you're in it. i felt myself becoming maverick from top gun, especially the scene when he has his shirt off with jeans on, playing some beach volleyball, and i'm just thinking about my sweet, sweet motorcycle, and how iceman gives me the creeps when he looks at me like that. i stopped thinking about that and started looking around. i saw this boy and girl sitting at a table together and it didn't look like they were saying much. they're probably in the same ward, but don't really know each other and one of them made the devastating move of sitting at the table knowing full well that the conversation would be dead after 5, maybe 6 minutes. they sat there in silence, but take my breath away was playing loud and clear. they were both listening to it wondering if this was the boy/girl that really could take their breath away. Berlin, thank you for breaking the silence. I'm sorry that jessica simpson covered your masterpiece. she had no right. in other news, I am now friends with the mother of brian, karen, and laura boyer on facebook. thank you, linda.
