please do not tap glass.

my family had a reunion here in the land of utah a few weeks ago. it was a fun, fun time. here are 4 billion pictures from that weekend. many wonderful pictures were taken by my sister-in-law, anitra. most of these guys were taken by me. some might say, "was it necessary to post this many pictures and also take the time to edit them?" my answer is "absolutely yes." i have a very demanding job. luckily i was able to take some time to edit the photos. this is for those of you who sit in front of a computer all day working a less than demanding job and looking for something to occupy your time as you sit, sit, and sit. if you find yourself in the same situation a few days from now, get excited, because i will be posting 4 billion more pictures of brian soon.

i love my family. i could spend forever with them and wouldn't regret it. i was driving back from my parent's house last night and thought about how great my family is. on that same drive i passed by trafalga and looked at the brilliant electric fireworks display surrounding the place. they are identical to the ones outside of fatcat's bowling. spectacular. unnecessary. i don't think anyone's bowling at fatcat's because of the fireworks. i'd rather bowl at the drab miracle bowl because of the cheaper prices, but that's beside the point. a few friends have had the privilege of enjoying ice cream sundaes while sitting in my '98 bonneville in the parking lot of mcdonalds and watching the fireworks blowing up outside of fatcat's which is just up the road. what a treat. the overwhelming predictability of each electric explosion allows me to exactly plan out my reactions and educated guesses. i can say, "i feel like this one is going to be very bright and explosive and make no sound," and will be correct 100 percent of the time. there are no "oohs" and "aahs." they are unneeded. it's enough to just be in silent awe of how advanced our world has become. it's enough to be full of silent gratitude because you're not the one paying the electric bill at fatcat's. those things never die. these simple fireworks make me happy. their glow gives me the 4th of july every night. when someone asks, "do you know what day it is today?" you can proudly say "my country's independence day." unless you are from another country. i don't know how you celebrate you're independence, but it might be with fireworks as well. if so, rest assured that there are electric powered fireworks of freedom bursting outside of fatcat's every night. we are blessed. 2 blessed 2 be stressed.

please do not tell her to not tap glass. she just doesn't care. she really did have that middle finger up.

i was talking to nick and we've decided that the animals which have instilled the most fear in our bones are the coolest. the ones where if there was no glass between you and them and they were upset, you would not stand a chance. like a grizzly bear. i don't think i'd want to wrestle a baboon. i just don't.

the bird show at the hogle zoo was phenomenal.

Don't mess with Camden or his sassy Dad. Or Cali will drop the middle finger on you. That's how we roll in Cincy.
